Vegan Silk: A Textile Gem
Vegan silk is a true gem in the textile world. This fantastic fabric is light, cool, breathable, ecological, derived from plant cellulose fibers, antistatic (reducing electrostatic charge), elastic, durable, and Oeko-Tex certified. The short fibers surrounding the cotton seed (linter) are pure cellulose. Through an ecological and sustainable process, they are transformed into this amazing fabric, free of toxic substances for humans and the environment.
Its main characteristics include great delicacy on the skin and hair, along with a beautiful sheen that makes it similar to silk. The fiber has a circular cross-section and a very smooth surface, smoother than cotton and many other natural or synthetic fibers, making it very pleasant on the skin without causing friction irritation. For the same reason, the detergents used to wash these fabrics wash away easily and do not leave residues, minimizing the risk of allergies from the washing substances.
But that’s not all! Cellulose fiber easily absorbs moisture and releases it outside. This makes vegan silk fabrics highly breathable and particularly pleasant. Adding to these fantastic properties, it is biodegradable and adaptable to many uses. We particularly love taking care of hair, and this fabric is perfect, meeting all our needs.
